Deborah’s iconic red coat which features on the Mario Testino shot used for the exhibition poster is, currently, on display at the Isabella Blow exhibition at Somerset House. A made to measure replica will be auctioned at the after show dinner in aid of The Isabella Blow Foundation, with funds raised going to support up and coming designers and artists and key mental health charities.

‘I was introduced to Isabella  by Philip Treacy, when we were both students at the Royal College Of Art. Soon after we graduated, she ordered some clothes from me and invited me to base my studio in her house in Belgravia alongside Philip. One day Issie brought a young student round from St. Martin’s, whose degree show she had just attended – Alexander McQueen. I always laugh at how things turned out, she wanted me to give him advice on how to get started as a designer, I don’t think he needed it!

Isabella was instrumental in getting my career off the ground, she commissioned exclusive pieces for her fashion shoots and gave me my first press - the cover of London Portrait Magazine, which featured a sculpted hand painted dress with a Philip Treacy hat, shot by Alaistair Thain. She, also, sent me the majority of my private clients, from Isabella Cawdor to Lucy Ferry. I made her sister Lavinia’s wedding dress  and most of her husband, Detmar Blow’s trousers.

Issie was a truly generous and inspirational person to whom I will forever be indebted.’

SHOWstudio will be showcasing the new film 'Something Else' by Deborah Milner and Peter Gray in December as part of their Punk series
